Brandy  born 5/1993 passed 1/2008

Brandy, aka Bubble butt, Happy baby, Branderiffic, Niblets , Griblets and Buttmunch

We got this beautiful little girl from a teacher and her family who, although they loved her dearly, but,  because of family circumstances could not spend the time they wanted to with Brandy.  Brandy also had a problem with "leaking" pretty bad,.  She is on premarin and another medication to help her.  I do not know where to begin with this sweetie.  The day after Brandy came to us she started rubbing herself on the walls while moaning and barking.  I thought this was hysterical...she would walk all through the house once she started and circle back a few times.  I found out she does this when happy.  If this is the case she is one estatic pupper :)  She also likes to come into the bedroom at bedtime and nibble the comforter a few times.  It is so funny to see her nibble on the comforter with her front teeth only.  She also likes to nibble on my thigh when I am sitting at my computer and she wants attention.

Brandy's favorite pass time is chasing a tennis ball. She will chase that thing for hours, and if you are too tired to throw it to her..she will bat it around then chase after it.  It is kind of funny when she brings the ball outside and drops it in the pool only to jump in after it.  Brandy loves the pool.

We recently got an 11 week old puppy,  5/12, and Brandy hates him.  If puppy walks past Brandy she snaps and barks at him.  If puppy is getting attention and Brandy is not she starts to moan and kind of whine.  Brandy is not spoiled :)   We adore this adorable little girl, she is so sweet and such a character

Brandy loves to lay under my hubbies computer table.  We call her the eel.  She will lay under his desk and when one of her least favorite puppers walks past (Kimmi and Duke)  she jumps out and snarls...just like an eel.

January 2008- Brandy feel ill the week of 1/14.  She started out with a temp of 106 which took 2 days to come down. She had an ultrasound done and it was discovered that her kidney was mottled and tiny and one of her kidneys was 1/4 of it's normal size.  Her white blood count was also elevated and despite antibiotics, plasma and fluids she did not improve.  Our sweet funny girl was laid to rest on 1/20.  We love you my dear Branbaby and just cannot bear the thought of this house without you

I just received this info in my email..a lot of things now make sense about Brandy

"It turns out that Brandy was born in May of 1993.  My friend did not know the exact date.  So She was about 14 1/2 years old at the end of her life.  Their regular vet was a Dr. Purcell who she can no longer locate and she doesn't know the name of the vet who put Brandy back together after her bout with two coyotes about 7-8 years ago. Brandy was cared for by a stranger in that incident because my friends were in England and their house sitter had not realized that Brandy had gotten out of the yard.  The person who rescued Brandy from the side of the road took her to the vet and paid for all services rendered.  My guess would be that they may have taken her to the Emergency vet place on Speedway.
My friend just remembers that the house sitter got a call that Brandy had been hurt and had to have surgery.  The house sitter picked her up and took care of Brandy until my friends returned  returned from England.
When Brandy healed, she was given to us because we wanted her and because she couldn't get out of our yard.
The rest of the story you know.  I would say that Brandy was with us for about three years. "
